you <g>

I have pondered and pondered why a move into Iraq has such supposed popularity -- could that be part of it -- is our populace so callous, that they would take a war over a recession??

don't answer that <g>

I'm depressed and confused -- I heard Ted Kennedy on the radio friday and found myself agreeing with him ... one of us is totally messed up.

The whole thing is one big moral and ethical catch-22 from my POV. We think Iraq does not have the inhibition to keep it from launching a first strike with weapons of mass destruction -- so that justifies our launching a pre-emptive strike??

The truth is we can't ever chase down all the folks who have no compunction about terrorizing us -- killing "soft targets" -- gotta love that euphimism. We are soft targets, but someone at a military institution is a "hard" target.

The simple-mindeness of the thing bothers me a great deal ... want to think well of shrubs -- but it is hard, esp with the gestapo chief at his side to protect us from the "terrorists among us."
