they would take a war over a recession? why not? this wouldn't even be a real war, we'd be dropping from 40k feet and firing from 1500 miles on people who can't even feed themselves. it is entirely possible the "war" would end without a single casualty on our side. when it costs (us) nothing... why not? nobody really believes human lives are sacred... the attitude won't change until something very very ugly happens to us...imo the world is in a situation not unlike pre-WW1, and it scares the piss out of me...it's come full circle: the moral absolutists have gone so far over the edge they've ended up in exactly the same place as the moral relativists...
