You guys! Sheesh! I'm a bit surprised by all the heat being generated over what seemed like a few innocuous comments.

For one, until his dastardly acts reached a level that he became a hero to the cult of haters (and like other violent Christian offshoots in our lifetime, this Islamist branch is a perversion of the Islam faith), Bin Laden's expertise was not as a military man, but as a deep pockets moneyman and civil engineer (though I use the term 'civil' hesitantly in that ratb*st*rd's case).

The point being that I agree; long before 9-11, OBL proved he's market and money savvy. And I don't get why such a statement is in any way unpatriotic or hurtful to the direct victims of his murderous ways.

But this escalated beyond that. I've watched and listened over the years and seen Dave (and you) make many a good trade decision. I've also seen a very few backfire, with AKLM the most recent. Well, duh.

I'm not aware of any trader still standing who hasn't gotten burned a few times, particularly this year, when bad news caught them off-guard. That's nothing like the P&D stuff that reigned on EVERY message board in cyberspace at the peak of the bubble.

Taking a potshot at Fred, too, was uncalled for. He long ago proved himself as an ethical credible guy, and as solid a US supporter as there is. He has nothing to apologize for in my book.

Geeze, in a world with some very real enemies out there, it makes far more sense to save the heat for them.... e pluribus unum and all that.

Some of the words you & Dave tossed around today were overly harsh and uncalled for. I know tempers can fray in anyone under the right circumstances, as buttons get pushed and pushed back.

When all's said & done though, what gain comes from making or maintaining enemies in the sterile conditions of a virtual world, where we can only make a limited guess about the quality of the real individual? It seems damn silly... moreso, since I've done it myself a coupla times.

But dya think you guys could tone it down a little? Yer wakin' the baby... and ever since I bought him that Playskool™ rocket launcher, his tantrum capabilities have been making neighboring states nervous.
