What is it about public accountability that is making them so crazy? It has to be that they don't trust the public. They think public scrutiny is dangerous. I wish it were that innocent, CB. There are more than a few unbalanced folk who use these kinds of campaigns to do physical violence to folk. It's not the left/right issue that's at stake here. The precedent in a lot of folks minds is not "reflexive paranoia", it's the experience of abortion providers when they were targeted in this same kind of website listing stuff. As for the rest of this post, there are paranoids on both sides of the political divides. Witness all the paranoia during the Clinton years. It's definitely not a disease of the left.
