Yes, Lee Webb pieces can be quite amusing ... somewhat long, as he often repeats himself, with bits from previous pieces, thinking i supposed that some only read one of the series .... you can't follow them that way, you have to get into the whole story before it makes sense, develop a mental picture of the many names and transactions involved ... but if you've got the time, it can be quite interesting, and certainly enlightening for the speculator

I don't know much about this Imagis nab.v, but Webb hammered away for years at this PoS i used to follow for amusement, after flipping a few shares of it five years ago or so - #Subject-10089 ... funny story, things like Edmonton police officers posting threats against fellow threaders on city computers while on city time, at least one highly amusing website set up with fotos disproving the bullshit of the touts, stuff like that ... the Talbot character who was president [?] once sued a bunch of stockhouse posters too, that was where i got more interested in the story, as that is always always a red flag against the 'stock' being shilled

But you can read that stuff without a SW subscription i think, just go to their forums where anybody can post or lurk without logging in ..... i like SW a lot for the old news and quote info setup, find it close to indispensable, but i'm concerned lately, now that they've stopped supporting netscape on their 'new' site, which sucks bigtime, pages load extremely slow and are confusing when they arrive, plus navigation is very poorly thought out, all in all it is useless .... as long as they keep up the 'old' site i'll keep paying them, they shut it down and i'm gone

One thing i think they could do is separate their Humour and Editorial department from their Headline Writing department .... whether from a grasping for cheap-shot jokes or an abiding snit against certain companies, they tend to slap on headers that bear little relation to the body of the story .... X-Cal complained about a particularly cutting one, got it changed, then SW just had to stick it to them with the word 'distressed' in the clarification release -

Mr. Shawn Kennedy reports
X-CAL RESOURCES LTD.: CLARIFICATION OF HEADLINE
X-Cal Resources wishes to clarify that the headlines placed by Stockwatch before
its press releases on the Stockwatch Web site are not written by X-Cal.
Several shareholders have inquired about the unusual headline which preceded the
company's news release dated March 27, 2002 (see news in Stockwatch on Mar.
26). The release was officially titled Sleeper potential presented by X-Cal.
The unofficial headline by Stockwatch, which preceded X-Cal's release, was not
written or authorized by X-Cal. The management of X-Cal disagrees with the
wording of this particular headline.
Unedited news releases are available from X-Cal Resources. Company news is
also disseminated through agencies approved by the Toronto Stock Exchange.
