hdl,
When I read your post, I had a chuckle...you know why?
Hdl, as I said before, there are elements of Islam that are good, and can be defended. But then there is the violent, evil aspect of it. In other words, there is a lot of contradiction with Islam.
Why I say this is this, with good aspects and bad aspects within the same religion, which should we focus on? Well, some will say the good, and some the bad. Either side would have a valid argument. Well IMO, I think we should focus on the bad. Why? 9/11?
If the bad would stay suppressed and not be realized, taught, and wouldn't rear its ugly head, then maybe some would choose to bury their head in the sand. There would be no need, to some to even bring it up. And that's what most people did before 9/11/2001. What did it get those many innocent, slaughtered people?
But with the violent and evil aspects of Islam, and because of the many radical Muslims in this world, it has to be focused on. And for that matter, eliminated!
This thread and discussion of religion and faith is pratically non-existence in good times. It only really gets going with bad times. Well, militant Islam, and the bad aspects of Islam is what needs to be examined, eliminated, and Islam needs to be cleansed. We can not have and allow another 9/11 or worse to occur anywhere in this world. And as I said before, the cleansing must come from within. Otherwise, Islam isn't going to like the outsiders coming in and doing it for them.
So I am sorry to say, I will not defend Islam. Until it is cleansed of its evil, it shouldn't and can not be defended. Get the evil out of it, and get God in it, and then I'll consider it!
God Bless, IGIT |
