Re: It is inconceivable that this material was headed anywhere other than Iraq

Oh yeah? The Saudi's have a lot more money than Iraq does and 19 of the 20 hijackers were Saudi Arabians. The hijackers were trained and funded by a Saudi with Kingdom of Saudi funds. The attack on New York was essentially an act of the Saudi Government (it's a Monarchy, and a member of that monarchy, with his royal funds, paid for the attack).

But since most members of the Bush administration are so close to these murderers, you don't hear a peep from them about what the Saudi's did to us. Instead they rail on about Saddam Hussein, who is unquestionably one of the more vicious dirtbags on the planet, but does not seem to be nearly as close to the Al Quida attacks on America as the Saudis.

You claim Iraq has given some support to the taliban and Al Quida in the past? I'm sure they did. But the taliban was trained by the CIA and supplied with arms by the US - just keep that in mind, before you start making past support of the taliban grounds for an attack.

Or are you proposing we bomb langley?
