I don't understand how after all the eternally shifting stories on why we are going into Iraq anybody takes any story at face value. It's a war, and the first casualty is truth.

Actually, we don't NEED a reason to go to Iraq. Iraq has violated the terms of the ceasefire agreement under which the war was suspended. With Iraq's violation of those terms the suspension of war ends.

Unfortunately, we had an incompetent in the White House during the 90s, and the result is this foreign policy mess.

I'm disgusted at the Republicans for not shoving this fact down the throats of the Democrats. The Republicans should have talking heads on every channel explaining that this entire crisis should have been handled in 1998; had it been, we would not be faced with a crisis of this denomination.

The important thing is NOT whether we go to war. The important thing is to make sure we NEVER have another Clinton in the White House who will allow this kind of crisis to develop. He lets Bin Laden go, he lets Iraq eject the weapons inspectors. Total, rank incompetence.
