The biggest problem I find with this market is I have no idea when a bottom will occur, so I have no idea when it is a good time to buy....I've been buying the whole way down...but have kept cash available to buy more if necessary...the problem is, I am so snake bitten I dont know what companies to buy, or at what price...lord knows I thought extr would be a steal if it ever dropped back to $5.....well, she did, I bought another truckload, and watched her go to low $3's where she is now at trying to figure out which way to go....do I average down more on what I think is a quality company and then wait out the storm, or do I not buy, for fear of extr going sub $1?? This market makes it very tough to pick a stock and a price to buy.....everytime I think I am buying quality at a good price, I get screwed....thought ATML was a good value at $10, so naturally I liked it alot more at $5 and then even more at $3....she's now at $1 and I am scared to buy more for fear she is heading to the pennies....heck, maybe everything is heading to the pennies........anyway, I may just stick with companies like ccel and etc....profitable, cash rich, no debt, strong growing business with LARGE marketplace for their service...small float controlled by mainly insiders and family of insiders....growing revenues,, growing profits, fast shrinking PE as earnings rise at record pace each month and etc.....and look at little ole HQNT, which was just a lottery ticket play for me....profitable, debt free, growing profits at record pace...raising guidance....Meanwhile, my "quality" companies are kicking my rear end...and like I said, I just dont know if I buy more extr at $3 or wait....do I sell extr at $3, or will that be a big mistake 5 years from now...sheez, this market is hard to figure...even harder if your sitting on stock getting creamed, but cash to buy more with...buy, sell, bury that cash in the backyard??? I have no idea <ggg>....
