I am going to flat screen monitors in my house exclusively.

DELL has a very nice 15 inch one I have been using for about six months...lists for 399 and can be had from time to time for 350. Less if bundled with a system.... Other brands are slightly less.

The 17 inch flat screen is still around 600....I am tempted though. One thing about the flat screens is that the viewable image fills up the entire screen, so the 15 inch is nearly the size of a 17 inch CRT, which is only 15.9 inch in viewable area.

I just gave my old 19 inch monitor to a buddy and am replacing it with a 17 inch flat screen. To me, the image is that much better.
