Trade: I ahd been under the opinion that MRL (MMedical Research Laboratories) was a division of a larger company....this apprarently is mistaken....at least I can't find any connections on-line. I will therefore add MRL's Lifequest as the fifth known competitor to Cardiac Science. All told they are: MRL Medtronics Philips Electronics Zoll Access CardioSytems Pricing: Cardiac Science sells their units for $2,900 MRL's Lifequest: $3,125 Zoll AED Plus: $1,895 Medtronics Physio-Control Life Pak 500: $2,900 Philips Heartstream FR2: $2,900 Access Cardio Systems: I can't find an advertised price of this unit - I have heard it sells for considerably less than other units but cannot substantiate. Note: Medtronics and Physio-Control are one in the same. As for Market Share, I believe CSI has stated they have about 20% marketshare - I will try to confirm. The above prices are advertised prices I have been able to find on the internet. Prices of course may vary and may have since been lowered. What I am trying to pin down are the competitive features of each - why would one unit be selected over another unit, not considering price. ragingbull.lycos.com
