RE Smart Media,

2 years ago, I was at my brother's home in LA Calif., we had to move some big program from one computer to an other one, too big to use floppy diskette.

I've use my USB smart Media adapter and took my camera card as media. I simply saved the picture, erase the card and moved the files to the media card. Goes to the other computer, moved the files. Back to the original computer, erased the files, move back the pictures and continue to add picture with the camera without any problems. Never had to explicitly reformat the smart media card.
