Why does it make no sense? We are happiness and satisfaction loving creatures. Many people run almost solely on emotion. Clearly the emotional response is very important. If we were all very logical it might not be as important. But sadly we are not all very logical, and in fact, most people resist logic, preferring the warm cuddlies of emotion. So, how is the emotional response which so many people crave not entirely selfish thing to pursue?
