Neo you cannot because you insist on applying what is accepted today based upon science and culture and cannot put yourself back in time and see the tremendous leap in the recognition of human rights set in law by those words. Back then many maybe most did not consider woman in that term. Blacks and native indians were not considered men but a separate or sub species. They were not considered men. You can pontificate on the morals of those in the past who lived with a completely different set of realities and whine but I find it silly.
