Excellent post. I do like the idea of a list of things that would point to an improving economy.

That statement pretty much sums it all up...so, how do we figure out if we are at the beginning, middle or end of the flush...from a contrary view I see many hints that would tend to mark a bottom. However, as with the bubble, extremes can go on for extended periods of time, and we could fall much further, putting even more pressure on the economy.

Unfortunately, the market may only stop going down when everyone 'knows' it's dropping more. I think we are close to that point...just not sure how close...
