I don't think we should let Saddam off the hook. However, I don't see the justification of going to war at this time.

This, I think, is a reasonable position. However, don't you think that Saddam has effectively been let "off the hook" already -- over the last 4 years?

If we do get inspectors back in, should they not insist on true cooperation -- something that the UNSCOM inspectors NEVER received? And shouldn't the UN determine, a priori, what the consequences shall be should Saddam fail to comply?

It sounds to me like your position and George Bush's aren't really that far apart.
