Ted, if you want to say the above, its your prerogative but let me make clear my position one more time. I don't think we should let Saddam off the hook. However, I don't see the justification of going to war at this time. But should Saddam screw with the weapons inspectors or refuses to cooperate, then I am more than willing to see us undertake military action with the support and cooperation of our allies, and the approval of Congress. Except the position on our (finicky) allies, I guess our views are not that far apart, despite a lot of hot air posted here. On Congress, I am definitely for each Congressman signing his name on where stands. And I would like them to run on their votes. Especially the George Mitchel crowd, who wanted to keep Saddam in Kuwait by giving the sanctions a chance in 1991. BTW, we have had (somewhat non-sensical) sanctions on Iraq in place for more than a decade now, with no effects. Joe
