Interesting. At no point in the course of the last year have I had any doubt about what Bush's true position is -- with respect to Iraq or anywhere else.

I think his position has been exceptionally clearly stated.


How can you say that? You were the first to say that he is not saying what it sounds like he is saying but rather alluding. One day he's ready to jump in a plane and go bomb Iraq himself; the next day, he's all nice and and cooperative, and wants to work with the UN.

The only clarity is that he doesn't like Saddam and he believes Saddam is harboring WMD and because of that he wants Saddam disarmed, removed, exiled, or all of the above.
