steve, some spammers/hackers disguise their stuff by making it look like returned mail. If you open it, there might be a virus. I solved that problem by disabling 'preview' in OE and by having an e-mail antivirus program. So, look closely if the returned mail is really mail YOU sent.

If you can send e-mail to yourself, the system works.
Or did you use hotmail?

You should have firewall software [I use Zone Alarm] and an antivirus program [AVG is OK].
