mudd,

marketwatch.com

GE - & the overall market - look like they are re-testing/resetting new shortterm lows.

Despite Merrill jumping (link above) on the downgrade bandwagon yesterday A.M., it looks like there was some buying interest as the day went on - especially in the afternoon. Perhaps approx $ 23.50 level triggered some computer target trading (by institutions)?

In any case, I agree that yesterday mornings prices sure looked tempting. Almost did some nibbling myself - but never pulled the buy trigger.

GE 3Q earnings do out on/or about 10 October (my guess).

Obviously they will get a lot of attention/scrutiny.

Still don't believe that the market has found a "final" bottom.

I'm still in a watch & hold mode.
