When it comes to winning elections, either side will do whatever is necessary. I watched Lehrer last night. They had a discussion with the Political Reporter for both the WP and the NYT on, and they all blew it.

They agreed that if Torrecilli resigned and the Gov appointed a new Senator, he would automatically go on the ballot. Not True. He would simply serve out Torricelli's term. Same problem with getting him on the Ballot as anybody else. Lots of lawyers are going to make money on this one!

BTW, on a subject of interest to you, they did a 15 minute segment on the new Chancellor of the NYC school system, Joel Klein, who just took over. I was not aware that the Mayor had been able to dump the school boards. What an uphill battle Kiein has!
