They agreed that if Torrecilli resigned and the Gov appointed a new Senator, he would automatically go on the ballot. Not True. He would simply serve out Torricelli's term. Same problem with getting him on the Ballot as anybody else. Lots of lawyers are going to make money on this one!

You claim, Bill, that someone appointed to take T's place would not automatically go on the ballot in his place. Actually, best I can tell, no one really knows. T's resignation puts the whole issue into a legal limbo. Courts will once again get to make the decisions.

I presume those all night session T said he had with "his good friend" McGreevey and Corzine were, at least partially, about this issue.

Gonna be interesting to watch. I may still get an opportunity to vote for T. ;-)
