The cover by buying calls in the open market..

These calls, if they finish in the money then the stock is called away (by the shorts), and they close there position. The seller of the call is unlikely to buy the stock back immediately, thus it has a zero effect in the short term. In the long run, they need to find 10 million shares from people who no longer want the stock, and this is very easy given it's current depressed price.. many people who purchased here will gladly sell with a small price appreciation.... IDIOTS!
