Within religious views, we hold things that are...let's say confusing. God has a plan; man has free will, god is all knowing. I used to be taught that all knowing included the future as well. So God has a plan, man makes choices and he knows what those choices will be and how things will end up. We were also taught, that God exists over all time, so he's in the past, present and future. All in all, that seems like a pretty boring plan, perhaps no plan at all. It all justs exists.
I took the route, god knows, I don't...what the hell, live life and don't worry about it. In any event, I don't think god is terribly impressed whether I kneel in a pew and can sing well [or not] and I don't think he care if I can remember names. I do think he cares, if I pick up a piece of litter, or help out someone in need that crosses my path. If there's a god, I'm probably ok. If there's not a god, I sleep well. If he cares about my singing voice and kneeling in pews, I'm screwed.
