A news release should be forthcoming Tuesday and it isn't good. The last two zones were intersected but showed no oil or gas, leading the operator to think we were faulted off. The well is suppose to be sealed off at 1500 feet, keeping the surface casing intact. Following further analysis and possible 3-D seismic interpretation, a sidetrack could be attempted from the existing wellbore, angling across the fault. The cost could be around $100,000. For now though, the well has been suspended and the rig released.
