That's a start. Given that NJ law only allows candidate substitution up to (I believe) 51 days before an election, what good would having a Green Party candidate be if a problem occurs 3 weeks before the election?

Now maybe the law needs to be changed to handle these situations. But you change the law BEFORE the election, not during it.

Similar to a little problem you guys had in 2000-2001.

May I point out that the NY Republicans had a flat during the last senatorial campaign- -and lived with the consequences, even though it cost them the election?

And resulted in the election of a carpetbagger?
