<<NOT you, ISH, you're a hero. >> No, I was no hero. I was in college and pulled a 237 on the lottery, not likely to be dafted. On Dec. 24th 1968 I walked into the recruiters office and volunteered for the draft. I had got so sick about hearing how people like me didn't get drafted I volunteered. Didn't make my mother happy. I wound up in Germany driving an ambulance hauling the heros to the hospital.
