Prize pumpkin heads for world championships A Japanese man hopes to have grown the world's finest pumpkin. Takao Hoshijima has won the annual national pumpkin contest on Shodoshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture, southwestern Japan. The pumpkin weighs 331.6 kilogrammes. Mr Hoshijima, 67, plans to take his creation to the world pumpkin contest on October 26 in San Francisco. Check out the picture: ananova.com
