nolimitz, Well, 2-5 minutes extension is trivial in a many day auction. Not very likely it would carry on with people adding small upticks just as the clock neared the end. As a seller I want the considered bids of all players to see the light of day. There may not be anyone sniping high enough to beat a resident proxy anyway. I do not mind having a waiting period as a buyer since I have the funds to leave a good ebough proxy to get what i want. If someone wants to beat me, let them, he will be paying at the top end of the range. Of course, sometimes I get an item cheap due to random variations in who logs on and when. Bill
