All those "soccer moms" would probably still be driving 20mpg station wagons instead of 14MPG SUV's. Women want vehicles they feel "safe" in. As the normal cars downsized to meet the meet the "Cafe" restrictions, they went to vans and SUV's. Smart behavior, IMO. They and their kids have a better chance in accidents.
