California Deserves Better Leadership:

1. In a story published by the San Francisco Chronicle, PUC officials admitted they had not considered communication between the ISO and companies. In the story, PUC President Loretta Lynch "freely admitted there were political motivations to releasing the report now" and acknowledged that the report did not come to a conclusion as to whether generators had purposely withheld power.

2. At best a complete lack of understanding - at worst disengenous - lol - see reference to possible political motivations above.

"There is absolutely no truth to the allegations about Williams," said Bill Hobbs, president and CEO of Williams' energy marketing and risk management business. " At best, the CPUC report represents a complete lack of understanding of the issues facing California and at worst, it is disingenuous. The information and conclusions presented by the Commission omit vital statistics about why a plant was off line and completely ignore information that the ISO [the Independent System Operator, which operates the state's electricity grid] had available about plants that were down for operational issues."
