good question. despite the cash, the balance sheet is more highly leveraged than in 1998. the longer this mess lasts, the more likely it becomes that some of the smaller chip companies will either sell out or fold shop. if they sell out, there probably wouldn't be much of a premium. mtsn lost a good chance to sell out two or three years ago. there were buyers at that time but brad did not want to lose control. now, he is gone too and the stock is trading north of a buck. what a mess!
