A high tick is 1000 and usually would be bullish. Anything over 1250 starts to get too bullish and reeks of bear capitulation. The reverse is true on the low side.

Trin revolves around 1.0. Trin below 1.0 indicates that it is likely that institutions are buying (larger blocks going through) and is therefore bullish. Too low though and it indicates that all the buying that is going to happen, has happened. Anything below .40 and I look for long exits or short entries. High on the trin is very subjective....

If I see a trin above 1.25 and a tick that is playing in the +500 to +1000 range, I just assume that we have distribution going on and that a top is not too far in the future.
