Some interesting parallels regarding Laforzas and Buicks ...:

I don't currently recall all the specifics, but I believe Tom Tjaarda's dad had a lot to do with domestic vehicle design back in the 30's era. Subsequently, Tom Tjaarda followed in his dad's profession and was directly involved in the design of the DeTomaso Pantera for Ford-Lincoln-Mercury.

Here's one of the major clubs: panteraclub.com Panteras, that sold for $10K when introduced, are now selling for 4-to-5 times that amount in today's collector market.

Tom also "..does.." Ferraris, which would suggest some premiere talent - as Enzo Ferrari has always been known as a very particular individual where his cars were concerned. Enzo Ferrari blew-off Ford's efforts to buy his company, as you may recall. (...that ultimately resulted in the development of the Shelby Cobras, Daytonas and the blistering GT-40s...)

Tom Tjaarda is the priciple designer of the Laforza SUVs and PSVs, bringing two generations of experience, prespective on the latests trends, and a wealth of successful hands on experience to the creation and advancement of the Laforza line.

The current market is obviously a "..stinker.." to get financing in, but one of these days both people and municipal and/or governmental agencies are going to discover they can by an "...armored from the factory..." Laforza PSV a lot cheaper than buying an armored after-market kludge...!! http://www,laforza.com

Current GM advertising:

Buick has been offering numerous ads lately which combine the essence of Harley Earl, who originally designed them, and the nuance of Tiger Woods wondering who was meandering about in his garage full of the brand....

The Buick Sport-Ute in New Orleans commercials were also pretty cool.........

The obvious point being that roots go deep in the automotive world, and good designs last a long time.
