I think we have crippled Al Qaeda, compared to where they were prior to 9/11, but I think they are still a potent force, and if Al Qaeda is eliminated, another grouping will develop.

I believe Al Qaeda is rendered unable to carry out the kind of attack we saw on 9/11, based on the fact there is apparently no centralized command/control. But individual cells obviously can still be a threat. But Al Queda isn't the kind of threat it was on 9/11.

I also agree with you there are other groupings all over the place that are particular threats. But this idea that we "haven't gotten Al Queda" is bull. They've been hit very, very hard and don't continue to exist in the form they were before.
