IT'S A HOT SUNNY DAY, YOU'RE THIRSTY, TIME FOR....

A MANGO LASSI

Go to the nearest Indian (east) gorcery store. Buy a can of Amrit Alphonso Mango Pulp, or other brand of Alphonso or Kesir mango pulp. If you're making lassi for two, put about a cup on pulp in a blender. Add some plain yogurt (I use non-fat because it's better for you), maybe a half cup or a cup. Add about 2/3 of an ice tray (the metal really tastes good, but it's a bitch sawing- naw, the ice cubes from the ice tray!) Then put in some sugar and maybe a cup or two of water. Experiment. Put on blender. Wait till ice is blended. Voila! A mango lassi. Smooth, rich, very colorful, and delicious. If you don't have any Indian specialty stores, use some fresh mango instead of the pulp.

Goes well with spicy dishes.

The End
