What you originally posted is above. Below is a timeline from an article re Kosovo.

Looks to me like the UN was participating right from the beginning, calling for an immediate cease fire on the part of the Serb forces in Sept, 1998. NATO airstrikes began in the next month when the Serbs ignored the UN request for a cease fire. By winter, the UN offers the Serbs peacekeeping forces.....the Serbs reject the offer. In March the Serbs agree to cooperate, and the UN brings in peace monitors only to pull them back out when the Serbs renege. The NATO demands that Serbs agree to UN peacekeeping forces. The Serbs reject the demand. NATO airstrikes resume. By May, a UN International Tribunal announces indictment of Milosevic as a war criminal. By June the UN ratifies an approved peace proposal and brings in a security force along with the existing peacekeepers to insure the peace.

Now big man genius, you show me where the UN was opposed to the NATO airstrikes? Point out to me the bypassing of the UN? It looks to me like the UN was working side by side with NATO to get Milosevic under control. No where do I get the sense the UN was withholding its cooperation from NATO. Only you, the nebbish, make that claim. Like I said before your bs sucks and I have had enough.
