Chris, nice to see you "alive" and well! :)

One idea that I had was to take an investment approach and develop it online here into a system. This will give a better idea to some what is meant by a "system" and how one's system can determine what information is relevant, and how to interpet that information. Tools can be developed to be used with this system. Resources available on the net can also be discussed that woul facilitate the use of this system.

What started this line of thought was Dave's approach to investing in small turnaaround companies. I like some of the ways he avoids the pitfalls in investing in small cap stocks. Also, something can be learned here in dealing wth thinly traded stocks. Perhaps Dave will be willing to bew asked further questions in an effort to disect his approach in order to help understand the important aspects of this type of investing in order to build a system of our own. Even if the system that we come up with ends up being very simmular to Dave's, I think it is the process of building the system that counts and it is this exersize that we can learn alot from.

I can start be covering my thoughts on what some of the issues are related to investing in small cap stocks and turnaround plays. Then Dave can fill in with his observations from his experience. Dave has already helped alot so far with what he has said about his investment approach.

I think what would be particularily interesting is how Dave formulates his questions to management, and how he goes through this process of interveiwing the mamangement of a company.

If Dave does not want a leading role in this effort, then perhaps he can offer what he can form the sidelines.

Up for this Dave?? Are the rest of you up to it with your contributions and questions??
