it sounds like you are saying the losers win in the end

In simple terms, throughout history the peoples and states who are contemporary with an Empire, but are not included in the priveledge and power have within a few hundred years overthrown the empire. More than that, they leave no stone unturned and no family not slaughtered. It's not karma, its more revenge.
