I'm about the same age as GWB, at 18 yrs I used to run a lot but found the sub 5 minute mile tough.

Now and a gain I try and get fit. These days a 7 minute mile would be very good for me, never mind even 70 degree heat, I doubt I would attempt it for health reasons.

He must be very fit and train a lot.
