Hi PB,
I think that Osiris was described in an article in the health section of the Washington Post several months ago - so I need to dig it out.
As far a TCLN is concerned, I'll probably pick up 500 shares or less just to be in, just in case it does make it. One of my best friends has gotten in pretty big time, and he remains confident. It looks like it should be a winner, but the stock has not yet been discovered. That may be a good time to jump in. I picked up lots of BTGC back in the under $3 times and they made it fairly well without a blockbuster drug. TCLN would be a blockbuster. Of course, I feel that way about MAGN as well. Medimmune, however, was such a puzzle to me, because after they failed in their tests - due to stupid reasons unrelated to the efficasy of the drug, the stock price was beaten down. It seemed too good to be true, so I was too cautious and only bought 200 shares. Here the payoff has been good.
I guess the problem is in the waiting game. TCLN may still have 2 years or more before it makes it (if it ever does) - unless it gets discovered by the biotech analysts. By the way, these analysts have been pretty hot on magn for quite some time.
Even when my bios go up, I don't always sell at the right time - LIPO was doing so well and you know the rest of the story. Well, I don't gambe on horses or at casinos, so here's where I have my excitment.
By the way, you label yourself a pseudo biologist, but I suspect you have a strong background along with good analystical skills.
Good Luck,
