the Japanese attack on the British at Singapore and Malaya was OK
You are really bad at paraphrasing, maybe you should stick to cut and paste. I indicated that their attack was at least understandable as Japan was by that time desperate for the resources. The U.S. has no such excuse, the attack on Iraq is solely for the purpose of distracting the population from the state of the economy. There is no credible threat, any doubt about threats could be remedied by inspections already agreed to, and no other country believes the threat either (even in England it's limited to Tony Blair and a couple of his closest friends). This is one of those world events in which one's position will have to be explained to our grandchildren. I don't plan to rubber stamp this action regardless of polls and percentages or congressional leaders because the issue of right and wrong from a historical sense is clear and true.
