cranky canuck- they pay them speech writers lotsa bucks how much do they pay? clappie and i are getting more interested by the hour. *HOUR:* length of time it takes to listen to the speech. *DAY:* length of time it takes to write the speech. speeches? WE could write sinking speeches. <gold of sierra madre bad guys voices> uuuuhhh... here's the very short gist of billy's speech: Message 18071292 and we're not talking about saddam here... we're talking about tony blair... in the speech, he praises tony (applause all around) he explains how the laws of nature work, i.e., that our common humanity comes first, that we are interdependent but we must integrate... (more praise of tony)... that we can still celebrate our interesting differences... but in order to evolve we must put the needs of our common humanity first. (more applause) (tony's mind is spinning by now because his whole labour party and constituency is fired up) (billy has embraced him with a beautiful hug, elevated him almost to sainthood, and craftily thrusts upon him all the responsibility that comes with the role of being a saint in charge of making the world a better place) DAMN... it was fun to watch. <g> what a master!! they get lotsa bucks for reading what the sign-makers (speech-writers) write. ok then... who wrote lincoln's gettysburg address? and what stupid bastard wrote... "i did not have sex wif dat wimen... ms. lewd windski" ?? and... "that depends on what the meaning of IS, is." ?? it mussta been rush limbaugh, eh? -el p dude
