Sharp. Nope. Haven't read any Prechter
in years.
Said it here many times. But it's a disclaimer worth repeating a couple of times a year. Just follow my own work. Don't watch financial TV and very rarely read financial magazines or W.S. oriented newspapers.
The few <experts> I do read from time to time are out of courtesy to family, or friends. Even then, it's usually just a quick scan.
For example, until nspolar showed some of his stuff to me the other day? Had never read any Bob Bronson.
Not saying my work is better than these other folks. But discovered (a long time ago) my portfolio performs better when I focus only on my own game plan and tool box. One of my fav sayings is:
"You never get rich playing another man's game"

Hmmm...
So, you want to handicap a <tug of war> between the US Gov vs the power of a secular deflation driven by an overwhelming multi-decade debt implosion?
OK. How bout this?
You guys remember the older film version of the Mighty Joe Young story? Haven't seen the flick for probably 15 years but let's try to visualize the scene together:
Big, big theater. Large audience yelling and cheering. On one side of the stage is Joe. On the other, a line of maybe 10 or twelve big tough dudes with the Swedish Angel toward the end and Primo Carinara (then heavy weight champion of the world) as the anchor man.
While Joe grunts, and looks bored, the audience gets warmed up watching each tough guy take a turn demonstrating feats of great strength. Finally, Primo gets them on their feet when he flexs each bichep bustin' loose the steel band around ea upper arm. Too cool.<g>
Then, the tug of war begins, and Joe easily pulls the entire line of dudes into the artificial pond, in the middle of the stage.
A simple but evocative analogy, Folks.
The lineup of human power that looked pretty impressive BEFORE the main event? I'll call that the vastly over rated US Gov, so many people think could win a tug fest against what IMO is the overwhelming, devastating power inherent in a once in 100 year mega debt implosion induced secular deflation.
Believe it! The Fed Reserve AWA the entire power of the Fed government are absolutely inconsequential vs the staggering magnitude of deflationary power that slowly being unleashed by the implosion of a debt & derivatives mega tsunami that's almost beyond comprehension.
Repeat this mantra to yourselves several times a day till the epiphany hits ya. How many trillions in derivatives is MORGO burdened with??!!!
Thinking an inflation cycle is around the corner is a classic example of <fighting the last war>. That last war was the 1979-80 inflationary blowoff. But this ISN'T your father's war.
Nor is the real <New Era> the endless growth touted during the bubble gum years.
It's Deflation.
And it'll win the <tug of war>, just as easily as Mighty Joe Young.
