Clouseau,

Those baloney shells must be rather heavy.

I hope your back is feeling better.

I'm one of those "paranoid of doctors" types, I guess. It seems all they do is hand out pills that the pharmacuitical companies push on the HMOs.

I hear ya. It certainly seems that way.
They seem quicker to tell ya about a new pill they have rather than telling you to eat better and excercise, etc.

My father and mother have a large bag filled with all sorts of various prescription medications.
One to lower blood pressure, one thin the blood, one to keep cholesterol down, etc, etc. Meanwhile each one has it's own side effect.
...and sure enough is seems that some of the ones they have used have been ones that have been recalled or removed from the market.

I better get myself in shape soon.
Otherwise it won't be long until I'm on a few dozen pills to correct what I broke by not exercising and eating poorly.

I just had my annual physical (first time in 3 years) last week. The doctor was trying to get me to take stuff for stuff that didn't even bother me. I wear heavy work shoes all day long and sometimes battle atheletes foot. Not severe. Just a little bit of dry skin or what ever. He was pushing a pill for it but wanted to do a test for my liver first because of the side effects or damage it could cause to it.

I said no thanks.
The only damage I want done to my liver is what happens after consuming a can of beer...

My feet haven't itched since.
