Globe says at least six brokerages cut targets for ATI

Fri 4 Oct 2002

The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 4, edition that ATI
Technologies slipped 45 cents to $6.85 on the Toronto Stock Exchange
Thursday. The Globe's Market Movers column reports that a minimum of six
securities companies cut their target prices for the maker of chips to
enhance computer graphics. On Wednesday, ATI announced that its fourth
quarter loss had widened. On Sept. 9, when ATI stock was trading for $9.48,
the Movers column reported that Merrill Lynch was maintaining its "buy"
rating, citing its belief that the stock was unlikely to go lower.
