One could not teach 20th century European history and omit Hitler, so that is a no- brainer. The question is, is it obligatory to mention Hitler in order to "expose students to his ideas"? In you comments on the Holocaust, you seem to be saying that Hitler deserves equal time, and that students should not feel pressure to eschew his ideas. It seems that students are entitled to adopt bogus racial theories justifying mass murder if that is where their intellectual and moral development leads them. Thanks for your candor, as repugnant as your POV is.......
