Please list the weapon systems that Iraq has that were manufactured in the United States or Britain. How many biological or chemical weapon warheads did Iraq purchase from the United States?
I admit, that I only scanned the FAS article, but the American products listed by the article that were shipped to Iraq (during the 80's were):
Mack Trucks, welding machines and supplies, cement handling equipment, California, computer systems, a water treatment facility, water demineralization plants and water pumping systems, construction equipment, dump trucks, tractors/earth movers, truck mounted cranes, cement compacting machines ,Liebherr cement mixers on Mack truck chassis, and heavy construction equipment.

Let's be honest about Iraq. The United States warmed toward Iraq, only while it was acting as a counterweight against Revolutionary Iran its vision of Islamic Revolution. Let's also not forget that the United States wanted the Iran/Iraq war to end as a stalemate. To that end, Iran received military hardware when they were losing; and Iraq received intelligence information when Iraq was losing. |
