it looks like this penny stock will be a permanent part of our portfolio. But it will serve a useful purpose as a reminder to resist the forces of greed, and group think.
That seems like a good reentry quote... :0)
Hi folks! Back after a lengthy time away due to a move, flu, work, family, etc. One incredibly thin silver lining to the black market storm clouds is that there are fewer posts to catch up on than in the old days (well, at least here and not at FADG, which implies there's some kind of foreign policy bubble going on)...
The two gorilla pic posts (Franq's and the Max Planck Institute's) were neat, as was the continuing discussion of the wireless future. Nice to see that even with fewer posters, frayed nerves, and no money, we can still get some good discussions going...
Re the money part, I realize this violates Rule 10, but hey, we should have ignored it by selling at the unsustainable peak, so WTF. Floyd Norris is a wise old bird who was consistently sane and skeptical during the bubble; the fact that he's now switching out of the bearish camp is probably worth noting. Anyway, I see just as much bearishness now as I saw bullishness a few years ago, and one of the things I think I learned is that at extreme moments betting against the herd can be more profitable than betting with it...
