Wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to the meaning of the new "breakthru" in Cathode material reported by the MIT group of Dr. Chiang using doping of the iron phosphate to achieve better conductivity. It is reported everywhere as a "breakthrough". Is this really significantly different from what VLNC or Hydro-Quebec are doing? Will this new cathode material make the Valence Nasicon Iron patents obsolete? I realize that any potential commercialization of this research is still several years away. Still, would companies such as Samsung who were potential Valence licensees hold back in light of this new research?
Thanks for any insights in this matter.

...........Jacques
